Exhibition
Creative Scene
7th November - 28th November 2008
Novas Gallery Camden presents ‘Creative Scene’ the annual Exhibition and follow on from last years ‘Artjam’ by members of The Creativity Centre, part of Camden and Islington NHS FoundationTrust. A colourful mix of visual art, exploring a variety of mediums from painting, photography, glasswork, recycled sculpture, ceramics, film and sound. One can expect a scene of thought provoking work to stimulate senses and inspire creativity.
‘Creative Scene’ is a celebration of creativity showing the diverse mix of talent we have here at The Creativity Centre. The work on show is the result of a series of workshops and open sessions that take place in The Creativity Centre lead by art facilitators and members themselves. These have included oil painting, glass work, recycled sculpture, crafts, film classes by No.w.here film group and lots more.
The exhibition will include the work of over 20 artists covering two floors in a prime London location. Members of The Creativity Centre have direct involvement in the planning and curating of the exhibition as well as leading workshops themselves. It is about the coming together of these artists to create, collaborate and show art as a diverse yet harmonious scene which begins in The Creativity Centre and has ended up in the gallery!
